Advice From a Dumb Blonde 1 Minute

You’re teaching your horse something about you everytime you’re around him….

Every time I am around my horse, I’m teaching him something about me. As soon as I walk in the barn, my horse is reading my body language.  If my body language says I’m not confident, then the horse will not have confidence in me. However if I walk in the barn and everything I do shows confidence then he will have confidence in me.  I first have to believe it before he will. It can be the same with people…..Take some Advice from a Dumb Blonde…If you’re teaching something about yourself when you walk in a room, be sure you’re projecting what you want people to see!

Why take advice from a dumb blonde? Because when you’re “dumb” life is hard, you have to learn how to navigate in a fast pace world full of clever people. That said, let me define “dumb’, I consider myself a pretty basic human. I’m high functioning in some areas and in not so much in others. I lack the ability to quickly process, which usually means I stand there with my mouth open trying put together what’s in front of me….looking dumb! In the spirit of full disclosure, I’m not a “true” blonde, I color my hair to match my personality. I’m just a woman thats can relate to being a daughter, sister, kid, teen, young adult, friend, wife, mother, midlife crises (er), work colleague, teammate, barnmate, etc.. I’ve spent years trying to figure out myself and my relationships. One day I started comparing the lessons I had learned from riding my horse and applied them to life. I know it sounds strange but follow me and see how it has changed my life!
